Halls of Torment Bullet Review

Overview and Facts:

• Original Diablo style graphics
• Waves of enemies spawn and you need to survive for 30 minutes
• Constantly updated, adding new characters, modes and achievements

Pros:

• Low spec requirements
  
• Fantastic performance, regardless the platform
• Really cheap and almost always on promotion discount
  
• Retro feel graphics
• Free updates bring more content without extra cost
• Many ways to customize your setup
• 30 minute runs make the game easy to pick for a quick run
• Fun achievements to complete on Steam
  

Cons:

• No co-op
• After completing all the achievements I didn't really have a reason to continue playing, so I just waited for the next update. I don't think there is replay-ability value once you hit the end.
  

Verdict:

This is a great game to have on a portable device, like a laptop or a steam deck, to spend some time on the go. Although, after finishing everything there is to do on the game I suggest moving on a different game, probably of the same genre, as there are a lot of entries to explore. The lack of Co-Op hits a low blow on the game. If that feature is added later it will elevate the game to a ten out of ten rating.
